"Identify the Liar" Riddles
Welcome to the truth-teller based riddles, in which you try to identify people as truth tellers or liars based on some questions/answers/statements. As a reminder, all of the riddles here can be viewed as logic puzzles -- no gimicks or tricks, no words or phrases with double-meanings or ambiguous statements. In other words, they can each be solved by critical thinking, deduction, and logical reasoning alone (and perhaps, for some problems, a pencil and paper). Some of the riddles have different variants, with Easy, Medium, and/or Hard versions available. Additionally, the riddles are introduced through a story, but you can skip to the Succinct Riddle if you just want a short presentation of the riddle and the key information you'll need to solve it. There are Hints available, which you can choose to read if you get stuck -- typically the hints are fairly substantial (revealing more and more of the answer strategy) as you continue reading down the list of hints; so give the riddles a good think before yielding to the temptation of reading the hints. For a riddle is like a thrilling story in a book or movie, whereby only once do you get to experience it for the first time (and have the opportunity and satisfcation of solving it on your own).
